Newspaper & Magazine Framing β Bergen County NJ
Sports headlines. Birth announcements. Business features. Historic front pages. Magazine covers. Family press clippings. Framed archivally β before they fade, yellow, or crumble.
Newsprint Deteriorates Fast β Frame It Before It's Gone
Newspaper is the most acidic print medium there is. A clipping left in a drawer yellows within years. Exposed to light, it browns within months. If you have a newspaper or magazine that matters β a championship front page, a birth announcement, a business feature, a family member's story β the time to frame it is now, not someday.
At Modern Memory Design in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, we frame newspaper and magazine pieces using UV-protective glazing, buffered mat boards, and archival backing that neutralizes acid migration and stops the deterioration clock.
What We Frame
π Sports Championship Headlines
Super Bowl wins, World Series clinchers, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup β front pages from historic moments in sports framed with UV glass to preserve the newsprint for decades.
πΆ Birth Announcements
The newspaper from the day someone was born β framed as a keepsake gift for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, or as a baby shower present that actually lasts.
π’ Business Features & Press
Local newspaper feature, magazine profile, trade journal article β framed professionally for office walls, lobbies, or boardrooms. Credibility you can display.
π° Historic Front Pages
Moon landing, election night, end of WWII β significant historical newspapers preserved under UV glass with archival mounting. Conversation pieces and family heirlooms.
πΈ Magazine Covers
A magazine cover featuring someone you know, a brand you built, or a moment you were part of β framed cleanly with a mat that respects the design.
ποΈ Personal Achievement Press
High school athlete writeup, Eagle Scout feature, retirement announcement, community award story β these clippings matter to families and deserve permanent display.
Why UV Glass Matters for Newspaper
Standard glass transmits UV light, which bleaches ink and yellows newsprint rapidly. UV-filtering glass or acrylic blocks up to 99% of UV radiation β slowing degradation dramatically. Combined with a buffered mat board (which neutralizes acid migration from the newsprint itself) and an acid-free backing, properly framed newspaper can last generations rather than years.
This is not a luxury upgrade β for newspaper, it is the minimum standard worth doing.
