Return & Refund Policy

At Modern Memory Design, every frame is custom made to order with care in our Hasbrouck Heights, NJ studio. Because of the custom nature of our products, please review our return policy carefully before placing your order.

30-Day Return Window

You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date. Returns requested after 30 days cannot be accepted. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging.

50% Restocking Fee

All accepted returns are subject to a 50% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your refund. This fee reflects the custom, made-to-order nature of our framing products, which cannot be resold as new.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot issue refunds for items lost or damaged in return transit.

How to Start a Return

1. Contact us at 201-421-4060 or through www.ModernMemoryDesign.com within 30 days of delivery to request a Return Authorization.
2. Securely package the item in its original packaging.
3. Ship the item to the address provided with your Return Authorization. Do not return items without prior authorization — unauthorized returns cannot be processed.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund (less the 50% restocking fee) will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. Damaged or defective items will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you — the restocking fee and return shipping charges do not apply in these cases.

Non-Returnable Items

Custom framing of customer-supplied items (jerseys, diplomas, artwork, photos, and other memorabilia) and gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned.
